The Airbus Mobile Final Assembly Line celebrated the delivery of our first U.S.-built A321 with a fantastic family picnic and baseball game between the Bay Bears vs Biloxi Shuckers.
The picnic featured inflatables for kids and adults, BBQ and hot dog dinners for all, and a rousing game of Throw Catch on the Field.
At the game, three Airbus Employee children (1 from FAL, 1 from Eng Center and 1 from Defense and Space) threw out the first pitches, and an Airbus Eng Center employee sang the National Anthem.
As sponsor of the Game, the Airbus Group gave the first 500 fans an auto sun shade and the Bay Bears staff threw out tee-shirts between innings.
To top things off, in the middle of the 1st inning, Airbus represented a check to FEEDING THE GULF COAST (a local food bank) for over $10,000 to “fill the gap” on the Mobile Co School Backpack programs — addressing the children’s food needs on the weekends — when they are not getting their breakfasts or lunches at the school.
