The Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile is now official EN9100 certified!
“I would like to warmly thank all of you, for the great job accomplished, not only to prepare this audit, but also to demonstrate that our U.S. production facility is adequately and sustainably integrated in our Business Management,” said Thierry Coutand, EN9100 Business Requirements Manager, upon delivering the news to everyone involved in the audit, which took place in late March.
EN9100 is the international standard for the Aerospace industry, which provides business requirements to manage a company. Airbus is globally assessed each year to ensure compliance to the standard. This year was the first for the Mobile manufacturing facility to be included.
“This is another great achievement of the Mobile FAL Quality team,” said Matthias Ostendorf, Head of FAL Quality. “Less than a year after demonstrating the compliance with the EASA Part 21G, and having extended the Airbus Production Organization Approval (POA), the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility was able to demonstrate compliance with another standard of the aeronautical industry.”
