Victoria Corob, Airbus Alabama Spring Intern

AirbusGroundbreaking-US-0697

When Airbus broke ground for the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile in 2013, 13-year old Mobile public school student Victoria Corob spoke on behalf of the youth of Mobile in talking about what Airbus coming to Mobile meant for her future, and that of the aerospace industry here.

Following her speech on that day, where Victoria showed great poise and dignity, all of the speakers (including us!) pledged to Victoria that when the time came, they wanted her to come work for them. Well, Airbus is slightly ahead in the race to bring Victoria on board as the now 18-year old senior at the Alabama School of Math & Science starts an internship at the U.S. Manufacturing Facility this week!

Victoria, who has expressed an interest in engineering as a career, will be learning more about the design engineering function in a manufacturing environment during her 6-week Spring internship at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility. This will be followed by a Summer internship at the Airbus Engineering Center in Mobile, where she will be paired with a college intern working on cabin design and engineering.
